Help for an older computer

    Alright guys..
    My mom's got an '01 Dell that she's using for pictures and email.. Not too much else. It had been a family PC, but the family's moved out now, so she's got it back to herself.. LOL Anyhow she thinks it's littered with junk, and slower than it COULD be. We all know it's not going to be a supercomputer or anything, but what programs could I take from the site, and use on her computer to clean it out as much as possible? I know I can go and remove programs that I'm sure she's not going to use, and I get CCleaner, but anything else? I know this is in the Malware forum, so it may get moved, but I thought it'd get noticed by the right people here..

    Thanks in advance.. Links to programs would be great.

    Yes it will get moved to the Software Forum. Note no one can suggest what you should remove unless you tell them what is on it and what you mother uses.

    If you have malware issues and need any help with that, run the READ & RUN ME and attach the logs to a new thread in the Malware Forum. Also state what the malware problems are.

    Hey Paxton

    Is it XP?

    Do you have the ability to restore it to factory settings? That's an option with Dell (at least mine).

    You could save all the documents your mom needs and start from new.
