*HELP!!!*GamesAlwaysfreezeonnewcomputer

    Computer specs:
    Hewlett-packard a6560a
    Processor: AMD phenom 9550 Quad-core Processor 2.20 GHz
    Ram: 4 Gigs
    system type 32-bit
    Video card: Nvidia ge-force 9500 GS
    Windows Vista home premium
    running on 1600x1050



    The Games on my computer always randomly freeze for no reason. When it freezes the screen turns still and audio keeps looping and strange green and blue dots come on some of the objects on the screen. Its not temporary, i have to restart my computer. I have never had this happen on the desktop of the computer, only in the games. I just Bought this computer *NEW* I am Confused to why this is happened, due to the nature of the situation... In other words since this is a new computer..... All the games have met up to the system req easily.

    Hi

    Are you overclocking either your Graphics card or CPU at all?

    Check the temp of your CPU and GFX Card, can use the Nvidia control panel and the menu adjust GPU settings and the last figure under the GPU settings as in 60% / 60C is your GPU temp. Or you can use say use Everest Free and the Sensors option.

    Update the Graphic Cards driver with latest one, http://www.majorgeeks.com/Nvidia_Forceware_for_Vista_d5935.html

    It is possible in that with these blue and green dots that your GFX card may need changing as other times I have seen this effect on screen an RMA was needed.
