Recently read a post on mcafee froum on how to result active shield problems and it told me to go through some steps via the command window. It said go on rin then type in cammond then type in CD\ in the window then type in tmp in a clear space then below it temp then click exit and then save and restart your computer so i did. then my while it was loading it wouldnt get past the loading screen and ended up with a blank screen with a little white line flasshing in the top right hand corner. Can anyone please help me as this is worrying me and could mean a loss of all my files.

Can you boot into safe mode, then back into normal? If that doesn't help, you could try a restore (if you can get into safe)

 

Hi all i get is the dell start up screen at the beginning with the menus by pressing F2 or F12 . Then it just goes blank. But when i try to enter one of these menus it doesnt work.
