HELP I am not a Geek,but need advice

Have a Pentium 4. 55,8 GB.XP PRO.
I put a Big Fish game CD on my PC.
Installing,no problem,but when I want to open the game,
he gives a Black screen.
Is there something wrong with my settings?
Who will help me??

Install latest drivers, chipset, graphics, sound (in the order).

Check game for update patches on the developer's website.

if that dont workafter doing after what goldfish said try reinstalling the game making sure you've disabled you anti-virus software and firewall in the task manager dont forget your games patches thou.

Disabling anti virus and firewall is not a good idea; ever.

after scanning your software for possible attack before installation.
totally agree with you its not a good idea to disable your firewall and anti-virus but during installation of dlls and patches OFFLINE its a good idea.
then reintialise when you have completed your task only a fool these days would leave them turn off unless your a programer.
