    Hi
I need help as I have deleted some files from my PC (from the root of the C drive) and now when I switch my computer on it says 'NTLDR is missing' (without booting up, it says this on an MS DOS like screen but it isn't DOS as i can't type anything). I remember deleting a file called 'boot.ini' and something begining with NT and a few others (all the files in C, not the folders though).

I really don't want to do a system restore as I have important files that I need on the PC.

Please help me and I promise never to mess around with my computer again.

    Hi there,

Do you have a disk with the windows installs on it ?

If you do you can boot off that and follwo the instructions, If it detects the installation of windows it will allow you to run a repair.

    Regards
