I'm pretty good at the basics of computers but I have a question that goes beyond what I know. Last month my computer started acting all crazy. So we went and bought a new one that had a cd writer on it. All I had on my old computer was a CD/DVD Rom that we bought around X-mas. So anyway, I installed that into my new computer and left nothing in my old computer. Here's the thing. I can still get on my old computer, for some reason I think my new printer was making it act up. Anyway, I have tons of pictures saved on my old computer and I really would like to transfer some if not all of them to my new computer so I can burn them onto a CD. Can this be done?

Just reverse what you did ...put the "new" cd-rw drive in the old one (as master) and do the burns, then put it back in the new one. Or network the two computers (cross-over cable ...or routered) and transfer files and settings.
