One of the fans on my motherboard sounds like it's about to die and I'd like to replace it. However, I'm not very familiar with hardware and am having trouble figuring out exactly what type of fan it is.

My motherboard is a Soyo KT333 Dragon Lite. I looked at the manual and, although it has a couple of pictures of the board, both images lack fans. The fan in question has a Soyo logo and is a little over 1" in length. It lays pretty flat, has two screws and two plastic pins and looks like it's mounted on a plastic square (which is fixed).

    Here's a very blurry image:

Any help with this would be beyond appreciated!

    Thanks much!

looks like the northbridge fan... try googling for northbridge fans for your mobo or 25-40mm fans...it MAY be safe to run without the northbridge fan (i dont use one) but if your mobo came with it i wouldnt take it off...
