I need to plan a program that reads in several last names from a data file but prints the LAST "lastname" on the list. How do I do this?

    Not enough info!

Last names from what sort of data file? A sequential text file? Is there anything else in the file? What do you do with the other last names?

You need a flow chart - you just need a few blocks in it, its quite a simple task (or at least it should be). Open file, find the last line, take "lastname", print it.

The QB program contains a random list of last names. I need to figure out how to print(run) only the Last "last name" on the list without telling the short program what the last name is.

One way to code the program is after you read in the program would be to input all of your last names into a string array then display the contents of the array. One reference site I like to use is vb-helper.com or if you need more help (I dont know how good your coding skills are) I could e-mail some sample code. I would normaly use C++ rather than Basic for this it would just be easyer.
