Help Installing Windows XP Pro (HELP ME PLEASE)

Okay, i really desperately need someones help here.

Heres how it is.....

I have two hard disk drives, one from my old computer, and a new one. I use the old one to boot up to Win ME. I from there, select the XP setup from the disk that i "borrowed" from my friend. Setup would run normal. After i selected the partition and everything, and even deleted the new partition and reformatted once, setup continues. It copies the istallation files and starts loading some files. The setup then says it must restart, and automatically does so. When the PC boots up, it auto selects XP setup for the OS. It shows the XP screen like its loading windows. It goes back to setup, and is on the stage titled "Installing Windows" it just sits there flashing the new features like it does periodically throughout the setup. It does this for about a minute or so, and then the PC just completely shuts off without warning. Then it has to wait a minute before it will let you turn it on again.

I tried using the disk with only the new, blank hard drive plugged in. The disk boots up, and setup runs, but only does the same thing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as i need to get this new computer up and running so i can put the old hardrive back and sell the old HP. Thanks guys!

unfortunately you are using a "borrowed" XP cd and that is a no no here. No one is going to help you with an illegal copy of WinXP.. sorry.
