Help "Low on virtual memory" ??

I currently bought the new LOTR: Battle For Middle Earth PC game. (amazing game). Also I recently got a new computer I made myself and I know it could support this game. But when I remade it I was forced to go from about 1G of RAM to 256MB of RAM. Now I shell state my main problem which is during the game on my computer I get a think on the task bar which says "low of virtual memory". I was thinking this was resulting from the low amount of RAM I have now but im not 100% sure Im right so thats why I bring this question to you. Thanks alot.

 

Virtual memory is a thing that XP and 2k use if you have too little ram. To fix this problem do the following:

Assuming your running XP but it should be about the same for 2k.

Right click on My Computer -> Properties
Click the advanced tab.

Here you should see an option for performance and in that click settings.
Click the advanced tab again.
Down the bottom you should see the Virtual Memory bit and click Change.

I reccomend that you choose System Managed Size. Then hit Set. Now you should be ok.
