Help making a tunnel?

Hey all Im stuck behind this firewall at my school and im sick of it...i cant do anything really. Can anyone tell me how to set up a tunnel, or know of a site that explains how to tunnel. thanks

 

if your school set up a firewall, it was probably for a good reason and they dont want ppl viewing and doing somethings on the internet. i wouldn't try to mess with school equipment because if you do and get caught you can get in serious trouble. so i'd just ignore it and continue on, its better than risking your education.

 

well i mean if you really need to access something then yeah you could always talk with your adminstrator or who ever runs your computer lab.

 

I think I should be able to tunnel out if i make a VPN with someone...it dosn't have to be a complex. I know i can VPN out I just dont know how to set it up.
Any advice on setting one up. lIke what software do i need and how do i configure it. I cant get in trouble for doing a VPN and even if i was doing something "bad" they wouldn't be able to tell cause its encrypted.
