I have had an ongoing issue with my desktop dropping my Internet connection. Desktop is wired to a D-link 4300 router. Running Vista home premium 32 bit. I get a few different error messages when running diagnostics.
The following may need to be adjusted to allow windows to connect.
I also get, windows confirmed that primary DNS server is currently online, but is not responding at this time?
Any idea how I can get my connection back?
Most of the time, I just wait a very long time and I am able to connect.
It's been a few days now though. Thanks for the help.

I've never run diagnostics on my router, so I can't help with that. When I lose a connection (I have several computers), I power down the router for about a minute. When I power it back up all the computers connect okay.

It does say that the model is compatable with Windows Vista Home Premium
