I have been fighting this Home Search hijack(a$$) for a few days. I have followed the advise in this forum. Running XP, used all the major spyware stuff, security services off, system restore off, MS Java gone, ran hsremove in safe mode...after the third time it was gone, rebooted and ran it three mor e times to make sure...After booting normally ran it again, rebooted and ran Hijack this and the mfcbc.dll is there. I check out the time stamp and it has just been stamped. What is doing this. It seems that I can stop services.exe from running and delete mfcbc.dll but then it comes right back with a new time date stamp. PLEASE HELP!

Post your HijackThis log and do not shutdown or reboot after that. If necessary, it is okay to remain unconnected from the internet while waiting for an answer. Just don't reboot. Otherwise symptoms will change.

    Get HijackThis here: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3155.html
