    i have lost my webcam disk i have a number not sure what it mean's it is usb\vid_05a9&pid_8519&mi_00\6&52d3719&0&0000 also might be manufactureed by cec or hp not sure

    Hi earl626,

    Unfortunately we are not mind readers and your post does not contain a single question so I am not too sure what your problem is. By inference I am assuming that you are trying to re-install your webcam and you no longer have the driver disk that it came with?

    If this is the case then most manufacturers have the software freeley available from their websites but without knowing the make and model we cant direct you accordingly. Can you please tell us a bit more information about what you are trying to do and the equipment you are using?

    I learned that back in my win 98 days.
    98 was not plug and play. I could not get the driver for a USB stick to install.
    Tech support, I think it was Lexar, had me open up my USB list, then told me what vendor and product to look for to remove so I could get the driver to install and use my USB stick. And that's how I learned about vids and pids. LOL
