Help me!!!!

    ummm...i am having a well big problem :rolleyes: nd nothing on my computer is working....okay well i got a new video card for christmas :cool: but :mad: when i tryed to hook it up nd stuff no games on my computer would work...it is an ATI RADEON 9600 ;) so i just put my old one back in and was fine for a while....then one day i turned on my computer nd a file was corrupt or missing so i reinstalled windows xp onto my computer..... :eek: but i tryed it with my new video card but nothing would work....i could get onto windows XP but no games would work....no music would work so i tryed it again with my old graphics card nd it was the same...plz sumbody help me :eek: email me at oXbadxhabitXo@yahoo.com or im me at oXbadxhabitXo...plz!!!!!thank you soooo much :p

    This may be obvious, but you are using the most up to-date drivers for the card?

    In addition to Ruebarb, did you completely uninstall all of your previous video card drivers. They could be causing a conflict.

    If the driver recomendations don't solve the problem. Does the new card have a 4 pin connector for power? I'm not familiar with ATI (Nvidia fan) Open up device manager and see how many display adapters are their, any unknown devices?

    umm i uninstalled all of the old drivers that i could find.....i am really bad with computers so i really dont kno wut to do

    First, you have installed the most recent drivers? Second, when you installed the card, was their a 4 pin power connector on the end? 3rd right click my computer, select manag, left click device manager, expand display adapters (in menu on right side) what is listed?

    Use DRIVER CLEANER after you uninstalled whatever drivers you have and physically installed the 9600 graphics card ... then install the latest ATI DRIVER

    and the 9600 does not have a power plug so you shouldn't have to worry about that

    i think i found the problem...it is a PCI card nd i need a AGP card :( :mad: :eek: :confused: .....so i got some work to do...lol
