I am not sure if I can describe this well.
When I drag and drop in Win7 to copy files I have two windows open. Each has two panes. The left is a hierarchical navigation pane and the right is pretty standard XP style. When I grab a folder and hesitate over the place I need to drop the file it pops open. Good stuff!
But the pane moves the files all over and next thing I am hovering over another folder which, if I am lucky, I notice and I hold off dropping. The next folder pops open relocating things yet again.
Is there a way to stop the file pop open from moving the files? Holding the folder position and dropping down its contents would be fine, but moving up from where I am hovering is a problem as I am now about to drop the file in the wrong place.

This is repeatable by opening two file windows, dragging the file to be moved to a fairly deep folder for its destination. A few things have to happen - left side pane used for your drop, left side window full (scroll bar showing), destination folder near bottom. When your destination folder is reached will pop open moving the destination folder up when its contents are shown and you can easily drop into a sub folder by accident.
