Help: My CdRom Driver just dissapear

    :confused: I have no idea where did it go. It just dissapear out of the blue....( I have a laptop by the way and using window xp)

    It seems like the cd rom device is still on my computer but it have the yellow exclamation mark next to the symbol...


    Please Help! This is annoying because I want to listen to music or burn some cd... or watch movie Grrrr!

    The solution is fairly simple. Go to the laptop manufacturers website and find their driver downloads for that model laptop. Download the CD ROM driver and install it. That should solve the issue. If that doesn't work then you need to find out what kind of CD ROM it is and go directly to the CD ROM manufacturers site and get the drivers there.

    One other thing, if you have all the original disks that came with the laptop, you should be able to find the CD ROM driver there.

    No...there is no Windows OS since Windows 95, and MAYBE 98 that has required third party cdrom drivers. This issue is already being worked in another thread anyway.
