Help My computer "Lags" online games

Alright i am wanting to know how i can reduce the lag of my ccomputer on online games. My computer didnt use to slow down when i play online games but recently it has how can i reduce this and eliminate it?

 

Have you tried doing a thorough sweep of your computer to clean out any malware you might have?

Other than that, try to make sure that little else is using your connection while you play. If someone else in your home is downloading mass amounts of data, this will typically slow down your playing.

Many times, there is nothing you can do to speed it up other than lowering the graphical settings of the game, and going to less crowded servers.

Again, I'd start off by going to through the steps listed in the malware support forum.

2. Lag may be caused by your computer's performance specs. Make sure you have at least the minimum requirements for your game, which can be found out on systemrequirementslab.com, or google.

3.If you, or someone else on your network is downloading files, especially if they are in great numbers or size, this can GREATLY slow down online play.

4. Run a virus and spyware scan. There are some free programs such as AVG you can try.

5. One of the most important, online gaming speed mostly depends on What type of connection you are using! which means LAN, Dial-Up, or DSL.

 

I would guess your problem is the malware, rather than the system specs, because your computer just started running them slowly as opposed to having run the games slowly all along.
