HELP! my computer wont read my mem stick

Hi
I use a sony pro duo and when i plug it in the computer, not only nothing happends, i can find it in "my computer" also. Which means where werent any "Removable Disk"
it used to work but for some reason didnt today
p.s my mem stick is not corrupt
p.p.s my computer does read the memory card

 

Try it in a different computer, also, if you have another USB Stick, try it in the suspect computer.

 

I believe your AutoPlay has been turned off. AutoPlay is the option for the computer to automatically do something when you insert your Sony Pro Duo (and for all other types of removable media). You can set it to automatically open the contents in an explorer window, open the contents with a certain program, or to do nothing. I suspect someone has set yours to do nothing, and checked the box that says "don't ask me again" (or something similar).

For Windows XP do the following:
1. Put the Sony Pro Duo in your computer
2. Press Windows Key+E on your keyboard
3. Right click on the drive that represents your Sony Pro Duo
4. Select Properties
5. Click the AutoPlay tab
6. For each option in the drop down menu select Prompt me each time to choose an action for each one

If you don't use Windows XP then your situation may be the same, but the steps to fix it will be different.
