my new build (xcept hdds and monitor):

    Intel i7-2600K Processor
    Intel DP67BG motherboard (DDR3-1600; GbE; 4xSATA 3GB/s; 2xSATA 6GB/s)
    nVidia Gigabyte GeForce GTX465 1024MB
    3x4 GB Corsair XMS3 1600MHz (12gb RAM)
    Cooler Master II Case
    Thermalright Venomous X Black Heatpipes
    850w Corsair PSU

Is this good? What should I change/add? I'd expect to overclock the rig and run 24/7 stable.
I'm more of a multi-tasking guy, not gaming.

Sounds like a nice rig, but I do question whether this is one of the motherboards that has the dysfunctional Sandy Bridge chipsets. Supposedly, MBs with the revised chipset aren't supposed to hit the shelves until April, and getting one of the boards with the malfunctioning chipsets would be a major hassle.

Yeah, I've just heard about that fault. I dunno if the motherboard that I have listed is a risk... hm, need to find out.

    And thanks for the link!

Edit- I have decided to replace the 460 with a 560. I heard from people that 460 is older and has overheating issues...

The 465 was a bad card period. I had one and had to RMA it. I now have a 470 that works great, but the 560 would be a better choice now, for sure.

You'll be happy with the RAM, it's the same that I got. Everything else (except the SB chipset) looks good. Personally, I'd stick to an Intel chipset.

    Thanks for your answer.

Isn't the chipset that I've listed an Intel one? Can you recommend me a better one? At least any SB chipset that doesn't have the flaw (the ports one).

Hmm, I noticed that Thermalright Venomous X Black CPU cooler only works for Intel LGA 1366/1156/775/AMD

    but isn't the intel i7 200k a socket 1155?

You are quite right. The OP has to find a different solution.

Ok, thought so. I have changed something in the list. Here's my updated build:

Intel Core i7 2600K Unlocked, Socket 1155, Sandy Bridge, Quad Core, 3.4 GHz, 8MB Cache, 95W, OEM
    Asus P8P67 Pro, Intel P67 Express, S 1155, PCI-E 2.0 (x16), DDR3 2200(OC), SATA 6Gb/s, SATA RAID
    16GB (4x4GB) Corsair Vengeance DDR3 PC3-12800 (1600mHZ)
Coolermaster Advanced 690 II Nvidia Limited Edition Mid-Tower
    1GB Asus GTX 560 Ti DirectCU II, 40nm, 4000MHz GDDR5, GPU 830MHz, Shader 1660MHz, 384 Cores
    850W Corsair Enthusiast 850TXV2UK TX V2 Series

Anybody can recommend me the best AIR coolers? I plan to overclock the whole system. I'm hard-hearing in real life, so I wouldn't mind the build being loud :)

My mistake, not sure why but I was thinking of something else when I posted about the chipset.

Ok, here's my latest updated build:

    Intel Core i7 2600K - Processor
    16GB (4x4GB) Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600mHZ - RAM
Noctua NH-D14 - CPU Air Cooler
    Asus P8P67 Pro - Motherboard
    1280MB Palit GTX570 3800MHz - GPU
    750W Corsair Enthusiast - PSU
CiT 1001, Black Mid Tower Gaming - Case
6 x 120mm Antec TriCool Blue LED - Mini Cooling Fan
Sharkoon 4" Blue CCFL - Blue Nano Stick

Sounds good? But the question is... will the Mid-Tower case will fit everything and that there won't be any space conflict between the CPU cooler and the Vengeance Ram sticks?
