Help Needed For URGE Music Downloads

Folks, I am simply a minor geek, so I must come to the heavyweights for this one.

I downloaded quite a lot of music from URGE...the music sales co on Windows Media Player. Now, they want monthly payments or the music won't be playable.

Does anyone know a cure for this?

Also, does anyone know a download site that has a good library and does NOT charge to download or play???

That is due to an "innovation" called DRM - digital rights management. There is no legal way around it, and most everyone uses it. There are quite a few cheap websites that charge per download, legality uncertain, or subscription services such as Napster where you pay $15 a month. The only way you're going to get completely free music is warez.

 

Open up your post again. I guess you have if you are reading this (duh) and scroll down to the bottom of the page for "Similar threads". They may offer a solution.

No recommendations though, from me, as I haven't tried any of them.
