help newbie

hi all new female here just joined up looking for some help !

my laptop has died on me and i cant get it to do anything i am receving a message saying a file is missing or corrupt and i should insert my windows 2000 disk to repair it but it wont repair !

 

Best to put that post into software where you can get more people to look at your problem. In the mean time see if you can solve your prob with this.

help my laptop has windows 2000 on and when i start it up it says the following...........
windows 2000 could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
\WINNT\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEMced startup options for windows 2000, press F8

you can attempt to repair this file by starting windows 2000
setup using the original setup floppy or cd-rom.
select `r` at the first screen to start repair.
