I have an E Machine...Model T2865 running Windows XP . All of a sudden there is no sound. I have checked all the "idiot" possibilities..unplugged speakers, speakers not connected to the computer, broken speakers, muted sound, corrupted drivers...everything seems to be in working order..but still no sound. I have gone through the troubleshooter step by step and still nothing....

Someone mentioned something about pressing the wrong sequence of keys on the keyboard can do this too...is this true? I do have little ones that may have played with the keyboard.

    Help please.Thanks so much

Do your keys on your keyboard have extra icons? it may be that this is what has happened and its just a case of locating the mute key on the keyboard.
