help nothing works on my new motherboard

i got a new motherboard and put it in i got everything pluged in and nothing works. only the fans, power light, and harddrive light are on. i tryed looking in my manual to see if there is anything in there but there in not. plz someone help me.

 

Double check that the CPU is in place properly, that it's fan and/or heat sink is installed properly.

Most importantly triple check that your RAM;

A) Is compatible, meets the specifications of the motherboard

B) Seated properly. Not just that they are secure, also that they are installed with in the 1st slot, not the 3rd, or whatever. Also make sure you do not need to install it in pairs, perhaps you only have one module.

C) Check for beeps when starting up, they usually mean something.

its a Chaintech ct-S848P MB. im kinda new at this so let me ask something.

there is the big connector and on the MB there is a smaler 2x2 square that takes 12v power do i need that to get it to work.

Your Power supply should have two leads (20 pin rectangular & 4pin square)that connects to your MOBO

 

now to get a new power sorce but do all the newer power sorces have the 4 pin power or do some not and how would i now if it did.
