Help nvidia is trying to eat my computer.

I was playing HL2 Ep 1, and steam told me that i dont have the latest driver for my vid card, so i go to the Nvidia website to download the latest thing it tells me to, i install what it tells me to and tells me i need to restart my computer, i do, and now it wont start back up, It gets to the Windows didn't start normally screen, but my keyboard will not work, and i cant select start from the last known good config WTF did nvidia do to my computer? and now its stuck in an endless wont start loop, What do i do?

 

Note that my keyboard works when it starts so i can go into my bios and what not, but when it gets to the windows didn't start successfully screen it will not work there.

 

I even tried inserting my Windows Disk and booting from the disk, but then it of course, just to piss me off, asks me to push any key to boot from disk, and it wont work.

Personally I only just noticed your thread. I would start with running MemTest86 (or 86+) you may have a RAM stick begininng to fail and causing corruption of data (in this case the latest Vid Driver).

You should be using Drive Cleaner Pro to remove your old drviers "properly" before the installation of new drivers as you can suffer conflicts, which maybe what has happened in your case.

Any future Vid Card drivers I would get from this site and you can check out the forums bbefore you undertake installation to see if others have suffered any issues:
