help on decompiler needed

so here is the deal. i need to decompile a slide show. it is a .exe and i am unsure how it was created by that i mean language and/or program. the reason for this is that they bought this silde show on a cd for $300!!! and they can't do anything with the pictures on the cd except watch them on a winXP comp. i even gave the good ole prt scr a try buy that was disabled. problems, problems, problems. so any info or ideas would be fantastic. thanks everyone

When one wants to decompile something, this could lead to legailty issues.

Only suggestion I will make is thus:

Click start, then run, then type in %temp% (press enter). Make a note of the file listed here.

Now, run the program in question. Alt + Tab to the temp folder. Do any new files show up?

What are the contents of the CD?

 

it is a cd that my friends sister bought with all of her wedding pics on it. she thought that she would be able to print the photos since she paid well for it. also the disc has no type of copyright not even on the company logo. i am not with the disk now so i will try it and get back with you thanks.
