Help overrun buffer in registry

Alright so i tried to clean up my registry today with a registry cleaner. When it was scanning the registry it all of the sudden crashed saying overrun buffer and the program must close. So i tried another cleaner and the same problem occured. So i found the registry folder which caused the crash the floder is:
hkey_classes_root\clsid\5de0da98-dfc9-eb4a-8c86-8f46a511ca0 and expanded that folder. Inside that folder was another called data. So i expanded the data folder and inside that folder was another data folder and so on and so forth. So it basically looked like this: hkey_classes_root\clsid\5de0da98-dfc9-eb4a-8c86-8f46a511ca0\data\data\
data\data\data\data\data...........
THere is a whole crap load of the folder "data" with in other data folders it just keeps going. I tried deleting the one of the data folders to get rid of the huge string but it crashed regedit due to overrun buffer probably due to all the damn folders. I was hoping someone might know how to fix this problem

Thanks i was able to get rid of that value with running in safe mode. Thank you for the help. Just out of curiosity is this a virus spyware? and why do they protect the key?

I'm curious as to why you deleted this Registry entry when you don't know what it is?

That is a certain recipe for disaster.

 

I would agree that just deleting registry entries when you don't know what they are is dangerous, but I've never seen a legitimate one like that, I wouldn't hesitate to get rid of it
