help please

    I'm trying to reformat a Dell desktop using a area 51 disk, it starts loading like it should but I get a message " no protected area structure found on drive 0. Anyone have a suggestion? I use to think I was half way computer savy but this has me stumped

    Its a restore disk for my desktop.
    It is a dell optimal pentium 3 My son in law gave it to me after he couldnt get past the password. It originally came from a rent to own store

    i cant find that pc in the Dell Database, can you be more specific?

    I don't think you'll be able to use the 'Area 51 disk' (restore disk, I'm assuming) on any machine other than the model it was made for. You'll need the restore disk that goes with the system you are trying to restore.
