  1. Bg problem with my pc, sorry if this is posted in the wrong place, BSOD at least 5 times a day, IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL, or DRIVER CORRUPT MM POOL, recentlly reformatted and got steadily worse, think it might be audio or video drivers, can't uninstall the audio drivers as when you restart it keeps going blue, the only way to get back to normal is to go back to last good known last configuration, totally at a loss as what to try next.....ran driver verifier and every driver makes it go blue, please help me, don't know how to post mini dump files, sorry but can somebody please help me?:cry:confused:cry:cry

  3. I'm sorry that I posted in a bright colour, not used to doing this I just wanted a bit of help that was all. :confused

  4. Have read it and tried what was suggested but, my minidumps didn't look anything like they should, they were all black lines and strange looking letters and numbers etc....the only thing that came up that was readable was that it was a dell pc.:banghead, really am at a loss. Thanks for replying though.

Then lets see what the BSOD is about ...right click my computer / properties / advanced / startup and recovery / uncheck auto reboot. Then the next time you get a BSOD tell us exactly what the error is.

  6. The pc doesn't automatically restart it stays blue until you switch it off, the error messages I am getting are (and theres a lot of them) IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL stop: 0x0000000A (0x02071654, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x804EDED9).This is just one of the many different number sets for this stop message,
I also getDRIVER CORRUPT MMPOOL stop: 0x0000000D0 (0xFF7FF008, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x8054D661) but I also get varying numbers with this one too, they are never the same apert from the actual IRQL or DRIVER CORRUPT part? It has had a reinstall twice now but works for a bit but gets more and more blue screens everyday.:(
Any help would be greatly accepted........

Memory going bad can produce random BSOD with different messages.
    Download this http://www.majorgeeks.com/MemTest_d350.html
and boot up your computer with the boot floppy or CD.
If you get any error(s), a stick of memory is going bad.

  8. I have run memtest already it shows no errors at all. The thing as well is that the sound is all garbled and the screen flickers when games are played, I have to keep uninstalling and re installing flash player, I was advised to uninstall my audio drivers to see if they were the culprit but, the pc goes blue as soon as you do that and you can only get it going again if you take it back to last known good configuration.......apart from taking a sledge hammer to it I'm at a loss as what to do! I had a problem with the DVD drive last year and before Dell would replace it they made me do a clean install and its never been right since........

  9. Oh my word! Just done the memtest thing again, it has been done before with no errors.....when you said if I get any errors does 0% pass and 20 million + errors mean that my memory has gone bad then!! I only let it run about half way through because I'm going to do it stick by stick later to see if it's one of them of all of them thats failing, thanks for your help I will let you know if this doesn't cure my pc from hell problems, thanks again.

  10. Ok, tried to take one stick of ram out and re ran the memtest, same amount of errors as the first time. When it booted back up it was blue with 'special pool detected memory corruption', rebooted again to get this error, 'stop: 0x00000024 (0x001902fe, 0xf7922460, oxf792215c, 0xf7637a40) then I got class.sys-address637a40 base at f7637000 date stamp 41107ec2. tried to boot in safe mode and got this error, 'irql not dispatch level', is this a memory problem or something a bit more serious than that?

    Bad memory. :(

  12. Thanks alot for all your help, it appears that it was the memory.....did one stick at a time with the memtest and all but one of them had no problems, the one that was bad was very bad! Thinking of upgrading all the memory, may as well if one wants replacing.
Everything is ok now but the sound and screen are still flickering and juddering, will this be because it's got one less memory stick in or could it be something else that's causing it? Thanks again for the help that I've received:D MajorGeeks is brilliant! :major
