No it should not... when you say 50 cpu you are referring at the idle state right. it should be at 1 or 0 at all times when you are not running anything

    sorry

I have 2 pcs one running w2k and the other running xp pro. When I get back home I'll get you a full detail of what is running in the back round. I tried to restore with no luck either. Robo I was having problems with my w2k system as well which is networked to the xp box...so after getting help with that my xp box went on the fritz. I'm just about ready to reformat and start fresh but man thats alot of work. It just blows my mind that running AV "updated always" and a firewall spybot S&D, adware, hijackthis can still allow these things to happen. Being always connected at high speeds has it's costs and not just $$$ it's to much work just to be able to surf the web vpn to work.
Maybe one should just get unpluged. Ya right that'll happen.

I'll get back to you all as soon as I get in front of those afflicted pc's.

    Thanks again.

The ones in red you need to get rid of them. I have done a search on it and it all seems to point to spyware or a dialer.

    have you run the following

    ProgramCWS

  11. Aurelius

    Aurelius Private First Class

First of all I would remove or disable OSA9.EXE. It only enables your Office applications to start (not run) faster , but it's continuously running in the background!
