I have already posted this once however there is more info now. When I restart or shut down my computer it automatically tries to connect to the internet once it loads. I have turned off my antivirus it still does it. The only thing that it shows is running when I do control + alt + del is EXPLORER , SYSTRAY , RNAAPP.... I have ran adaware and have came up with 164 hits or bugs. I deleted them. I have ran a thorough scan disc and defrag. I have also ran my anti virus program several times. I called my internet provider and checked all of my internet settings. They are set right. I checked MSCONFIG but I dont really know what every thing in there is. I have checked internet explorers properties and checked never dail. But I want it to connect automatically when I click on the "E" for the internet.....I have not downloaded anything new that I know of. I DID HAVE A VIRUS (VBS_FREELINK) yesterday MORNING BUT MY VIRUS SCANNER GOT RID OF IT. Please Help.

    ok Banc
i know you are getting desperate but not generally a good idea to start a new thread on the same topic
how about listing or putting up a screenshot of everything in your msconfig start-up list
    and well start from there

I see that you are running 98se, I just happen to be running that also. What you should try is, click on Tools/Internet Options and then Connections, and then click on Never Dial a connection. Try that and see if it helps. Mine was doing the same thing.

on the post reply you need to scroll down the page to the manage attachments tab press that youll get a little window pop-up browse your machine find the file then click upload close the window and submit your post
remembering you will have to write something as well because theres a 10 letter post limit ;)

I don't see anything really wrong with that. Someone else might have a different say though. There are a lot of people smarter than I am on this forum,

    well spotted Juet
thats actually spyware which attempts to dial the internet its also linked to the bridge.dll
    look here
    http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/adware.winfavorites.html
ad-aware or spybot should pick these up but if not you need to tick the two boxes go to this reg key and delete them
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
    the systray/a and the bridge.dll
you will then need to reboot into safe mode and delete bridge.dll you will have to show hidden files and folders

EDIT: you must delete all that i posted just unchecking the box means they just recreate on the next boot thats why bridge.dll is listed twice
