Help pls CPU issues with fan

Hey guys just wondering if you could help me. i have MCP61PM-HM motherboard running a 3500 athlon 64 processor. today i tried to change the fan in it only to when i started the computer i get an error saying cpu fan not working. shutting down to prevent cpu failure. at 1st i thought it was the new fan so i put the old 1 in and noe it does the same thing. i will point out the fans are working fine and now i go into bios and check fan speed it says 0 rpm but i am looking at it and its spinning normally. wondering if any1 here could shed some light please. ty in advandce for any help.

 

Some fans are not designed with a speed sensor - your fan should have at least three wires -two for the power connections and one for the speed sensor.

If there is no speed sensor the motherboard has no way of reading the fan is running . . . and as a safety measure shuts down.

You said the original fan does the same thing when it was reinstalled - what was the issue that prompted you to replace it to begin with?

 

i am a gamer. whilst playing wow my cpu was getting to 45 o which is to hot. the fan i am replacing it with is a faster fan.. better cooling. i am trying to disable fan monitering in bios but there is no option to do so.. wondering now if the is somthing on the board itself to put a jumper on to do this. any1 shed some light on my situation apreciate ur reply.
