HELP! PowerDVD ruined my life!

I have Windows ME, I downloaded PowerDVD and used it once, it was just a trial version so I uninstalled it and it erased EVERYTHING in my C:/My Documents folder! I had disabled System restore on my last virus-scan so I can't even restore back to an earlier restore point! I had SO many things in that folder and now it's all gone! Can anyone tell me if there is ANY way I can get all that stuff back? I didn't erase ANYTHING. i just uninstalled PowerDVD (which had installed into C:/My Documents--instead of just uninstalling the files associated with the progam it uninstalled everything that was in that folder!) can anyone help?
