Help -problem With Time Freeze Program

.I just installed timefreeze, to protect myself from the myriad of troublesome freeware around....unfortunately timefreeze has made a real mess of my pc....browsers ctrl alt del revo uninstaller, restore point refusing to run, saying this app needs a program to run or just refuses to run.......

Have a MR image before this so will restore my pc from this....wondered if timefreeze is not all it seems, downloaded from major geeks

 

I have never used the application, but I just did a quick search for information. Did you turn off scheduler, defrag, and backup programs in accordance with ToolWiz requirements? http://www.toolwiz.com/lead/toolwiz_time_freeze/

 

No scheduled programs no defrag as have ssd and no backup programs running

 

It seems it has limits, regarding any application that may change existing files, as you listed. Also, incompatibility with security applications might be involved. Are you using anything like NoVirusThanks (NVT) blockers, Voodoo Shield, or browser addon blockers? Also, please identify the operating system you are running.

 

None of those.....using windows 10 64 but pro.....

Wonder if there is a better sandbox program more forgiving and less troublesome....

As a side note I had a MR ( macrium reflect ) image just 3 days ago ( amazing program and FREE) first few times it failed......tried a 3 month old one and it worked, but was a bit out of date....then unplugged the portable HDD with the image on, plugged in again , took a long breath and tried one last time and my 3 day old images restored ok....never had MR fail me before, so glad it worked....

So much freeware is laden with back door apps, even found 7 tickboxes for apps in the T&C window that I usually just scroll down through and don’t read.....so it’s getting more cunning all the time.....
