HELP- problems using lcd monitor

    hello, i just purchased a new lcd monitor. I previously had an old 15" crt monitor. When I plugged in the new monitor it installed a secondary monitor. The old CRT is till the 1st monitor. The CRT monitor settings are the only ones that can be edited. Both are using my RADEON 9600 graphics card. I cannot figure out how to remove my old monitor without it being reinstalled everytime i reboot. anyone out there with any suggestions?
