help quick

    2 machines on WAP
    both get to router
    both get to internet

    neither can ping the other
    no file sharing exists

    same workgroup
    same user name and pass on each

    What am I missing?

    what about the hostmask?

    sounds like a firewall to me. Check to see if the connections are firewalled. The router should firewall it for you, so make sure that's enabled if you disable the firewalls on the machines.

    Do ya have firewall running, maybe is blocking.
    Disable firewall and try to ping.
    Maybe router settings?
    Reconfigure router?
    Same workgroup good.
    each pc has own name?
    Is this new setup, or was working and now dont?
    What is OS's?

    Trend Internet Security - disabled
    same workgroup
    no firewall
    router reconfigured

    I think Trend doesn't close whne you close the app in the sys tray, thats the next step to try, and see if its still running.
