    Hey Guys / Girls,

I currently have the following setup:

    Corsair H60 Cooler
Intel I7 3770K @3.5GHz Ivy Bridge (Not Overclocking ASUS Problems)
    ASUS Maximus V Formula Z77
    Corsair Vengeance Red DDR3 2133MHz 16GB (4X4GB)
Nvidia 560Ti 448 Core Limited Edition
    Revo Drive 120GB PCI-Express SSD
Western Digitail 1TB SATA III Black Edition HDD
    Corsair 850W MOD PSU
    Windows 7 HP 64-Bit

I currently have a problem with the motherboard in which I can not for the life of me overclock the CPU. Whenever I use the "CPU Level UP" or Manually attempt to overclock this machine when I restart the machine from Windows or from the BIOS nothing will display. I have thought this to be a problem with the motherboard in which I have sent this back to Scan.co.uk (Where I bought it from clearly) which they told me "The motherboard is faulty and we shall replace it with another) So they did but I had them to test the CPU Level up when they had in in which they then told me "There is a problem overclocking with this setup" BEFORE sending it away and AFTER getting it back from Scan.co.uk I contacted ASUS.com via the VIP Support section on the website to confront them with this problem. BEFORE they told me that there is a problem with the motherboard hence me returning it to Scan, AFTER they have not replied to my several attempts at help from them.

I can overclock it using an Intel I5 2500K no problem at all! As soon as I come to using my I7 3770K (Yes it is a K) it will not work. I have attempted ALL the BIOS Upgrades and Downgrades on the ASUS Driver Site but nothing changes it.

I am starting to think there may be something to do with this with my RAM. The reason I think this is because I also seem to be getting Blue Screens Of Death from the machine when started from cold and ONLY from cold. Memory Management Problems. This happened more so when I used the XMP (Xtreme Memory Profiling) Feature that comes with these motherboards. Once the machine has had a BSOD it then works perfectly fine without a blink until shutdown and started from cold once again.

I have gone through endless emails with Scan for them to fail every time with this setup being able to be overclocked. All the parts are brand new and I have done endless formats and reinstalls of my Windows 7 64-Bit.

Kinda annoyed with the fact I can't overclock it considering what I have paid for all this... ANY help I would be most grateful for and I shall get some more information on the Blue Screens Of Death ASAP if anyone needs them.

So please help and anyone that can suggest RAM for this setup I would be happy!

    Thanks you!

P.S Sorry if any spelling mistakes or bad grammar, I have had a long day!

A general rule of overclocking is that the higher you overclock, the higher the chance errors will happen.

First, I would write down the specific error messages and codes that show up in the BSOD, then research them on both ASUS and Microsoft's web sites. If you cant find answers, try Googling the error message.

I would also research the reviews on both your board and memory at large Internet retailers such as www.newegg.com (I know this is a US website; however the specific product reviews will still be applicable). You may find tips from other users that have had the same problem along with possible solutions of an alternate memory brand/model that may solve the problem.

    Hope this helps. :)
