HELP - Rapidshare driving me crazy

Hi all


I used to have a rapidshare premium account until I lost my job due to down-sizing/retrenchments of the company I worked for after they were taken over by a large corporation.

I now use the FREE rapidshare download but it is really getting me down. I don't mind TOO MUCH that one has to wait between d/l - I can understand that this is how they want to get one to purchase a premium account.

However, what irritates the hell out of me is that, I select the free option on the main screen, wait for 1.8 to 2.2. minutes to obtain a d/l ticket, enter the CORRECT code (captcha), and then RS says I entered an incorrect code and must try again. I retry and get the same message over and over again. It has reached the stage where I am lucky to get even ONE succesful d/l per day.

Have tried Universal Share Downloader, Orbit and Cryptload but get the same results even with them. Did not try Onspeed as I do not know where to get it - perhaps someone can provide me with a link.

I use letter "O" and not number zero. Also, have tried with both Capitals and lowercase - still get the same result.

By the way, I forgot to mention that after I select the "free" option and it then goes to the second page, an error mesagge flashes for a second or two saying "Please enable javascript". Then it disappears and is replaced with the timer that starts to count down. I downloaded and installed the latest Java, but it has made no difference.

Need your help to solve this problem. Perhaps there is a setting on my pc that needs adjustment - anyone have any ideas regarding this???

I had this problem using a windows compiled version of webkit. It could be the browser, so do try another, or update the one you have.

Big mistake ,since there is no letter "O" in codes that rapidshare provide.Only number"0".
Try this way,and Good Luck!!!

Just also thought I'd mention that I have XP SP2 with IE7 - I know that people say that I shoukd rather use FireFox, but when I tried it, it didn't work so well FOR ME.

Would appreciate help (step by step) on how to adjust settings for JAVA as mentioned in quote by MarkTrent.
