HELP!! Recycled PC needs NETWORK ADAPTER DRIVER but don't know HOW to find it!

All I know is that the motherboard is INTEL and the operating system is WINDOWS XP and a Pentium 4.

I CANNOT CONNECT TO THE INTERNET because the drivers for the NETWORK ADAPTER are missing! I NEED TO DOWNLOAD NEW DRIVERS but don't know WHERE! And I only have a little floppy disc to download it too ...would it be a huge file to download???

PLEASE oh PLEASE help me!!

 

Grab Everest and it will tell you which motherboard you have. As far as the size is concerned, you could be looking at 10MB so maybe get a friend to burn it to CD for you.

My mother bought me this recycled computer out of the newspaper and of course NONE of the drivers were included and NOTHING WORKS!!! The VIDEO IS HORRID!! It's like 4 bit and I cannot SEE ANYTHING so this is very difficult to even fix! That's cuz the drivers are MISSING for the motherboard and the audio and video. I don't even know WHERE to begin to find them ....INTEL confused the hell outta me. I did download that program EVEREST like somebody suggested (THANK YOU SO MUCH! YOU'RE HEAVEN SENT!) and it helped TONS! At least now I know the names of my parts. But I cannot find the drivers and I have been working on this all day and am beyond FRUSTRATED!! PLEASE HELP ME!! Please?

I couldn't find the network adapter drivers and I couldn't get online to get them so I ended up having to go buy a $25 BRAND NEW network interface card just so I could get those drivers so I could get online to get the rest of the hardware drivers! And now I can't see what I'm doing cuz the graphics are so absolutely UNREADABLE!!!

Yes, this turned out to be a BIG HEADACHE getting a computer out of the newspaper ...but I am broke and needed one and my mom bought it and hey ...beggers can't be choosers! LoL!!

I do KNOW the following info ..

It's windows xp professional service pack 2
I've updated it completely and there are no more options left in the windows update
The motherboard is a intel brownsville 2 d845gebv2
Chipset is intel Brookdale-G i845ge

Any suggestions on where to get the drivers would be SO VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!!!
