Help replace tcpip.sys

    Can anyone help me with how to replace this file.
    I have a second computer just like the one messed up.
    Both IBM T60 mine is fine hubby's has winsock provider catalog issues that wont allow internet connection.
    I went to use system restore to fix, but it was turned off.
    Hubby would not know where to find it to turn it off.

    Is this a typo? The file relating to your issue would be tcpip.sys, sort of an important thing to be sure you have the right file name :) Im not sure how to help you here, if it is the same problem, can't you replace the file again? I am concerned why your tcpip.sys is corrupted on two computers, I hope you have anti-virus installed?
