help required : worms

Because of some virus probably RavMonE.exe and lsass.exe the following problems have arisen in windows xp:-

1. run option in start menu has vanished.
2. cannot use ctrl+alt+del.
3. cannot edit registry (regedit does not open).
4. the restore option in system restore has become unselectable (cannot turn off system restore).

Because of this the ravmone removal tool does not work (cannot turn off system restore).
Can the problem be solved.

Here's a couple of links that may be of use. The first is a stand-alone Task Manager fixer; just run it and it will re-enable your Task Manager so you can use Ctrl+Alt+Del again. The second is a download of regedit.exe; the same file from Windows. You should be able to run it from your desktop just by double clicking on it. And you should definitely follow Fred's advice, visit the Malware Removal forum, read the stickies, and follow the instructions. Good Luck!
