help setting up my asus geforce 9600 gso video card

I have a 23" HDMI 1080 LCD montior and an ASUS geforce 9600 video card. I thought I set everything up correctly but when I go to play a DVD using windows media player 11 ( I have windows XP) the screen is blurry, shadow images, or double images. I can't seem to find setup the right specs to get it to work....any ideas?

 

Did you download the appropriate drivers from Asus's Website for your 9600 Video Card?

If thats not the case, try that, see what happens. Also, are you running any other video processes while trying to run your DVD in Windows Media Player? Have you also tried other media players, such as VLC...ect, also are you having any other video issues? with Video Games.. ect

 

I haven't gone to the ASUS website for any recent DL for the driver, just installed the driver using the disk it came with. I'm not running any other video processes while playing the DVD. Media player is the only thing I have to play DVD's. I just set everything up yesterday, new comp I put together.

 

Are you using HDMI connection to your ASUS GeForce 9600 Video Card? or are you using a different connection? Also, is it possible that there is a setting on your Monitor that may be conflicting? Such as too high of a frame rate?

Have you had any issues with any other applications minus Media Player?

Try downloading VLC and see if you have the same issue.

 

You know I haven't check that at all. But when I setup my display settings there was only one that work with clearity which is what I chose. No problems with any other application other than media player. I'll try DL that VLC.
