Internet browsing gets interrupted by a "SPYWARE FOUND" warning message in red background that briefly uses a "kitasearch" URL to lead my page to an unknown search site. Can't proceed from there.

Used my yahoo search engine to find this site and saw similar problem posted by "hithere". Things I have done:

    1. Visited TrendMicro site and ran scan PC with auto delete. There was a one infected "file in use" that could not be deleted.
. Downloaded HiJackThis and ran it. Saved the log file.
    2. Used the HiJackThis Log File Analysis tool available in the web. Saved the analysis log.
    3. Found several "nasty" findings.

    What to do next?

Thanks for the link, Kodo. But with step 1 alone under "Getting Prepared" (i.e. Do Windows Update) I can't even get thru without having to deal with the odd search site again. In short, I am unable to do step 1. Any tips?
