help, Stop 0x0000007B error, system crashed

I need help here. My system completely crashed with this stop : error message. I have no backup copy of XP and I cannot get into safe mode of any kind at all.

This happened immediately after AOL encountered a problem and said it needed to delete an adapter or something. Right after that my entire system crashed.

Is there anything I can do at all? Thanks everyone.

so you cant get back into windows? were you just using it normally when it crashed or had you just installed or downloaded something?

 

Thanks viper boy for your response. I have had it re-start off and on for no apparent reason but aol was having trouble connecting and a pop said something about an aol adapter issue. I clicked the pop up to get AOL back up and it re-started my computer. After that, the complete blue screen. I can't do anything now..

I downloaded a western digital diagnostic tool to see if there was a problem with the Hd there was nothing but now it says after dmi pool.....<windows root>\system32.hall.dll not found.

I have no backup disk at all so basically I am screwed right? I guess I have to go out and buy Vista or Windows XP?

Hey PM, what system are you using to access the net? Does you have a windows disk for this one or would you be able to take the hard drive out of the failed system and slave it to the working one (with some help from the Geeks of course)?

Otherwise a new copy of XP would probably be cheaper than a shop repair, Vista would be more expensive.
