Hey guys, I am stuck on the post bios screen and I don't have a clue how to get past it. I have no idea how it happened as the system seemed to be working fine until now.

The last thing I done on it was install Nero 9 and then burnt a disc with no problems, then I stopped using it for a while and it went to sleep mode about 30 mins later I went to wake it up from sleep mode but nothing seemed to work so I switched it off. When I turned it back on it just hangs at the post bios screen, I can't go to the bios or setup screen from there.

I have removed the CMOS for several mins but that didn't work either and I have no idea what to do.

    PC info.

    Quad core @ 2.4 ghz

    gtx 260

    6gb ram

    Asus P5N-T deluxe

If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Thanks for the reply, I'm using Windows 7 ultimate x64.

I have the disc but my main cd rom drive is busted so I use a external one which doesn't get recognized on startup.

have a look in your BIOS settings and see if there is a facility to boot from USB.. If you can its a simple process to recover/fix problem. Its basically the same procedure for Vista as per the link i gave you. Failing that could you not beg/borrow a ROM from a friend.
