HELP! System Restore/Registry/Disable Programs

    Help! I used CCleaner to clean the registry. I fixed keys that were listed as uninstall leftovers. I did not do a reg backup. Big mistake. Many programs no longer work. I did a System Restore to the last restore point. The programs still don't work. System Restore does not restore the registry? I can't reinstall the programs because they came pre-loaded. I lost all the Roxio/Sonic software: MyDVD, the CD/DVD burning software, CinePlayer...

    Someone please help! Isn't Windows XP System Restore supposed to restore registry keys?

    At this point your only option is to use the restore/recovery CD that came with the computer to get it back to factory condition.
