help to uninstal programs on my PC

first of all, i can't find my add/delete program icon in the control panel. secondly, when i right click on the softwarei want to delete and try to uninstall it won't respond. help me!! how do i delete/unintall a software?

 

i have win 2000, when i right click the selested program i want to delect and select the add/delet icon it does not response.

 

Alternatively, you can click Start > Run and type appwiz.cpl and press Enter and that should bring up the Add/Remove Programs window.

One of the reasons you might not be able to uninstall something is that it is already uninstalled but the reference to it remains in the add/remove programs list. There are other programs beside Windows with add romove options that do a better job than MS and also allow you to remove an entry thats uninstalled but still there. Tuneup Utilities for one. Have you looked under Program Files to see if the program is still there as well?

 

Well, we haven't heard from the OP in a while on this one... it's been over a week and no word as to whether or not the problems have been solved. Sooooo..... one more suggestion from me and I'll just keep an eye on this and see if the OP comes back.....
Try using a 3rd party uninstaller. Here's two I've used with great results:
