    Hello.

Basically im looking for some help find a approximate selling value for my Pc, Its still in great condition as I have really looked after it over the years Inside and out, I have gathered as much Info as I can on it and the specs are as follows:

    Manufacturer : Alienware
Case : Black Area 51 Custom
    motherboard : Nforce 680i SLI
    Cpu : Intel quadcore 2 Q6700 @ 2.66ghz
    Memory : 4gb dual DDR2 800mhz
    HD : 2x 250gb
    Gpu : Nvidia GTX 570 1.3gb
    Psu : 1000watts
    OS : Windows 7 64bit
    CD drive : DVD/CD-RW

I have really enjoyed using this Pc and It still performs pretty well with most new games but its time for a upgrade! I would Just like a estimate of what to ask for in price. I would rather not get ripped off as every bit counts towards my new Desktop.

    Thanks

    Whole PC $495.
I don't know how accurate that is... says the video card is worth $292.

    Anybody selling one on Ebay?

Problem is like cars they drop in value after you take them home.

It would probably be more cost effective to just upgrade the motherboard RAM and CPU. That would probably cost less that buying a whole new rig and selling your old one.

A GTX570 is still a good card, the PSU should be OK depending on it's make, the case and HDD'S are reusable. I'm surprised that the Q6700 could be a potential bottleneck but then I'm not a gamer either. I'd upgrade to an Intel i7 and DDR3 or an AMD Bulldozer CPU, whatever your budget allows. The toughest thing is speccing out your components, not the difficulty of the actual build. Your choice.

    Thanks for the advice.
I will look into upgrading the MB,CPU and Ram.

Yes the GPU Is actually pretty nice still It, was abit of an Impulse buy to be honest (Mistake! maybe..) I'm pretty sure my CPU Is a bottleneck for most games. Although my pc performs really well on average CPU usage games. For example I can run RAGE at a constant 60fps at 1650x1080 8xAA everything else maxed. but when It comes to online gaming and cpu intensive games I suffer greatly... Low settings will give me 30FPS and high settings will give me 32FPS... (Im guessing thats bottle necking somewhere.. as the actual GFX quality makes no difference to framerate)

Anyway still looking for valuations in the meantime!

It is more likely that your motherboard and chipset are the bottleneck rather than the CPU. By putting in a new MB and upgrading to DDR3 you will probably notice an improvement.
