   So I got this printer, and the cd installed and everything. Yet I try and fax something and I get "no answer" every single time I try. I also tried both ports on the back of the printer but with no avail.
   
   Am I doing something wrong?

   Would try running through the help steps here at HP to see if they resolve this.
   
   Is your internet service DSL by any chance, if so then add a DSL filter to the connection route from the printers phone port to the main phoneline.
