Help! Undo a samsung system recovery process.

My Laptop crashed again, and I again had to do a complete system restore which has wiped every file from my drives.

Is there a way I can go back into the old system???user?? and get the files that were on there? as when i do the system restore i have to create another account it seems-new pc name, wallpaper, settings etc, so thought there may be an old user account somewhere in here!??

It is a Samsung r40 plus with windows vista home premium.Thanks

Sadly no if you have done a Samsung complete system restore from their restore option to basically back to factory settings then this overwrites your old install and files as it writes the restore data over the whole hard drive ( C: Drive ) partition.

You could try running this free data recovery application but I would be very suprised if it found much or if anythink it maybe corrupted or partical data.. recuva file recovery

I know its cold comfort, but as I always say to all folk I chat too on one of the major things to do when using a PC is to backup backup backup, too many have precious memories, pictures, files etc too really afford to loose, backups can go on CD/DVD or USB stick and USB external hard drives. Vista Home Premium has built in software to allow you to backup your important file locations in Automatic Backup ( complete system backup as in Image files is only in Ultimate and Business versions )

When recovery is selected the process will run right away and we can not stop the process. When recovery process is complete all the data in the device has been deleted. There is no way of retrieving it unless your contacts and password have been backed up in google sync back up.
